The Bucks took down Sacramento 111-103 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center in their final game before the All-Star Break.  OJ Mayo had 21 and Brandon Knight 20 in the win. Milwaukee wraps up the unofficial first half of the season at 30-23.  Good for 3rd place in the Central Division and the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference.  Brandon Knight and Giannis will head to the All-Star Weekend in New York.  Giannis will compete in the dunk contest and Knight in the Skills Challenge. 

 

Bucks forward Larry Sanders has had his suspension lifted by the NBA. Sanders had been out for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.  He did not play last night.

 

The Bucks will raise another jersey to the rafters later this season.  The team announced that they will retire Bobby Dandridge’s #10 on March 7th before they host Washington at the BMOHarris Bradley Center.  Dandridge made three All-Star teams during his 8 seasons inMilwaukee and was a starter on their 1971 world championship team.

 

Kiefer Sykes jumper with 25 seconds left lifted UW-Green Bay over Youngstown State  63-62 last night in Ohio. Sykes finished with 11.  Greg Mays led the Phoenix with 15.  Green Bay is at Valpo on Friday night.

The Brewers are going to be without Jonathan Lucroy for Spring Training.   Lucroy has a right hamstring strain and will miss 4 to 6 weeks.  They hope he’s ready for Opening Day.  It also looks like former Brewer Rickie Weeks has agreed to a contract with Seattle.

 

Reports says that Badger defensive coordinator Dave Aranda interviewed for a defensive coaching position with the Green Bay Packers.  The Packers have reportedly hired Oklahomadefensive assistant Jerry Montgomery to a yet announced position.

 

Tiger Woods says he’s taking a leave of absence from golf.  Woods has been battling injuries and just plain bad golf in 2015.  He says he won’t play again until his game is ready to compete.  He recently shot an 82 at the Phoenix Open by 12 shots and with drew last week at Torrey Pines.   Today is round one of the Pebble Beach Pro Am.

 

St. Mary’s Springs Academy senior forward Conner Blank has been named the WisconsinPrepHockey.net Player of the Week.  The Ledgers will open up WIAA playoff action next week.
