The Phillies
took their 3rd straight from the Brewers with a 4-1 triumph last
night at Miller Park
Lyle Overbay drove in the Brewers only run of
the night in the 2nd. Roberto Hernandez went 8 innings to pick up
the win.  Kyle Lohse gave up 4 runs and 7
hits in 8 innings of work and takes the loss. 
 The series wraps up this
afternoon as Matt Garza takes on David Buchanan.  Coverage begins at 12:35pm on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ.  The first pitch is set for 1:10pm.

Argentina and the Netherlands
played to a 120 minute draw in the World Cup Semifinals on Wednesday.  Argentina advanced to the final
with a 4-2 win in penalty kicks.   Argentina
will face Germany on Sunday
in Brazil
in the World Cup Final.  That match is
set to begin at 2pm, Wisconsin time.   Brazil and the Netherlands play Saturday in the 3rd
place game.

 

Wisconsin native Steve Stricker has pulled out next week’s British
Open.  Stricker started playing a limited
schedule last year and continues that this year.  He is in the field of this weekend’s John Deere
Classic.  That’s an event he’s won three
times.  

 

The Bucks are
gearing up for their Las Vegas Summer League opener on Friday.  First round pick Jabri Parker,  Giannis Antetotokoumpo, and former Badger Ben
Brust are among those playing for Milwaukee.  The Bucks first game in Vegas in Friday night
against Cleveland.
