The San Antonio
Spurs thumped the Bucks 100-71.  Giannis
led the Bucks with 20 points and 7 rebounds. 
Jabari Parker added 16 in the loss.  
Former Marquette
star Vander Blue scored 12 points for the Spurs.  The Bucks will play Golden State
on Friday night.

 

New
Bucks owners Wes Edens and Marc Lasry announced that the NBA Board of Governors
has formally approved a group of individuals to join the ownership group of the
Milwaukee Bucks. The new participants in the ownership group include familiar
faces from the greater Milwaukee business community such as Ted Kellner of
Fiduciary Management, Jim Kacmarcik of Kapco, Craig Karmazin of Good Karma
Brands, Michael Kocourek of Mid Oaks Investments, Keith Mardak of Hal Leonard
Corporation and Teddy Werner of the Milwaukee Brewers, as well as several other
prominent business leaders with close ties to the Milwaukee area.

 

The Brewers are
off again today at the All-Star Break.  Milwaukee opens up a three game series in Washington, DC
on Friday night.  You’ll hear it on
News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

 

Bob Uecker will
be featured in a documentary to air tonight on Major League Baseball
Network.  The special will focus most on
his broadcasting and entertainment career. 
It will are at 6pm tonight.

 

Two internationally known
soccer franchises played to a draw in front of over 30,000 fans at Miller Park
last night.  Swansea City
of the English Premiere League and Chivas Guadalajara played to a 1-1 tie in
the first ever professional soccer game at the Brewers home park.

 

The Wisconsin Badgers have
announced that their football home opener at Camp Randall Stadium  on September 6th will kickoff at
11am against Western Illinois.  The Badgers open up their season a week
earlier in Houston
against LSU in primetime.
