Packers Training Camp opens
up this morning in Green Bay.  The team will have workouts at 8:20am at Ray
Nitschke Field today, Friday, and Saturday before taking Sunday off.  All workouts will be open to the public.

The Giants scored five times
in the 7th to blank the Brewers 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon in their
series finale in San Francisco.  Mike Fiers was charged with two of those
runs, and Will Smith the other three.  The
Cubs come to town for a four game series that starts tonight.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ.

It was a weird hour or so
last night as multiple reports said that the Brewers were trading centerfielder
Carlos Gomez to the Mets in exchange for infielder Wilmer Flores and pitcher
Zack Wheeler.   Flores was so upset about
the deal that he was crying on the field during the Mets 7-3 loss to San Diego.  Carlos Gomez and his teammates tweeted a
fair-well photo from the team plane.
Then Mets GM Sandy Alderson said the trade will not happen.

One trade that did happen is Philadelphia sending pitcher Cole Hamels to Texas in exchange for
six players.  Also the Marlins have
traded pitcher Mat Latos and 1B Michael Morse to the Dodgers for three minor
leaguers.
