Its back to the
practice field today for the Green Bay Packers. 
Another 8:20am workout is set for today. 
They will go at it at the same time on Friday before Saturday night’s Family
Night Scrimmage at Lambeau Field.  The
big news out of camp on Thursday was the team signing General Manager Ted
Thompson to a multi-year contract extension on Thursday.

 

The Wisconsin
Badgers will officially open up camp this weekend in Madison
UW is picked to win the Big Ten’s new Western Division.  They open the season on August 30th
against LSU in Houston

 

The Brewers
roughed up Tampa Bay ace David Price in a 5-0 win over
the Rays on Wednesday.  Martin Maldonado
went 3×4 with 4 RBI in the victory to help make Yovani Gallardo a winner.   The win pushes the Brewers lead in the NL
Central to 2 games over Pittsburgh and 2.5 games
over St. LouisMilwaukee
takes today off then opens a big three game series in St. Louis on Friday night. You’ll hear those
games on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

The Major League
Baseball trading deadline is this afternoon.  
The St. Louis Cardinals added a
starting pitcher to the roster yesterday dealing for Indians starter Justin
Masterson.  He’s expected to start this
weekend against the Brewers.  He was an
All-Star last year but is just 4-6 with a 5.51 ERA this season.
