The NCAA Tournament’s round
of 64 gets underway today across the country. 
There will be 16 games today and 16 more on Friday as the field is
chopped down to 32 teams.  Badger fans
must wait until Friday night to see their team play.  #1 seed Wisconsin plays #16 seed Coastal Carolina at
8:20pm tomorrow night.  Coverage begins
at 7pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ. 

 

It was one and done for UW-Green Bay
in The NIT after a 69-56 loss to Illinois
State
.  The Phoenix
led 31-24 at the half.  Keifer Sykes
career ends with a 14 point night.  Green Bay’s season ends
at 24-9.

 

Marquette announced that junior forward Steve Taylor is
transferring from the school.

 

The Bucks lost at home to the
Spurs on Wednesday night 114-103. 
Giannis had 19. Milwaukee has lost 11 of
their last 14 games and there record is back to .500 at 34-34    The Bucks travel to Brooklyn
on Friday night.

 

NFL Network reports that the
Packers have interest in veteran receiver Wes Welker.  The former Pro Bowler, who will turn 34 this
offseason, had just 49 catches for 464 yards and 2 TDs in 14 games.

 

The Brewers doubled up the
Royals 8-4 in Cactus League action on Wednesday.  Gerardo Parra homered and drove in 4 in the
win.  Khris Davis also had 3 RBI. Wily
Peralta gave up 1 run and 4 hits in 3 and a third innings of work.   The Brewers play the Giants this
afternoon.  Coverage begins at 2:55pm on
News-Talk 1450 KFIZ. The first pitch is set for 3:05pm.  

 

Marian baseball team lost to
Macalester 8-5 on Wednesday. The Sabres wrap up their Arizona
trip today against St. Johns.

 

The Fox Valley Association
has released a few more of their All-Conference Teams.  Fondy senior wrestler Jason Toshner gets
All-FVA 1st Team at 195 pounds. 
Junior Josh Adams was 2nd Team at 145.  Junior Gage Zahradnik at 220 and sophomore
Donte Johnson at 285 get Honorable Mention honors.

 

In boys swimming and diving,
Fondy sernior Riley Pankratz is 2nd team in the 50 Freestyle. 

 

The 100th WIAA
Boys State Basketball Tournament tips off today at the Kohl
Center in Madison with Division Four and Five
Semifinals.  The D3, D2, and D1
semifinals are Friday with all five state championship games set for Saturday.
