The Brewers were shut down by
Jose Quintana and the Chicago White Sox 4-2 on Wednesday night.  The White Sox pitcher pitched into the 8th,
gave up just one run and four hits.  He
struck out 10.  Jimmy Nelson gave up 4
runs and 8 hits through 6 and 2/3 innings to see his record drop to 1-4. The
Brewers didn’t get a runner to 2nd base until the 8th inning.  Carlos Gomez homered in the 9th for
Milwaukee

The Brewers take today off
then open up a three game weekend series against the Mets in New York on Friday night.

Al Horford’s bucket with 1.9
seconds left lifted Atlanta to an 82-81 win over
Washington on
Wednesday night in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.  Horford finished with 23 points as Atlanta takes a 3-2
series lead.  Game 6 is Friday night at Washington.

 

Klay Thompson scored 23 and
Steph Curry 18 as Golden State took a 3-2 series lead over Memphis with a 98-78 win in the Western
Semifinals.  Game 6 is Friday night in Memphis.

 

There are a pair of game 6’s
tonight in the NBA as the Cavs take a 3-2 series lead into their Eastern
Conference Semifinal series in Chicago.  The Clippers can close out the Houston
Rockets tonight in their Western Conference Semifinal. The Clippers lead that
best of seven series 3-2.

 

NHL Playoffs

NY Rangers 2 Washington 1 –
OT – NY wins series 4-3

Game 1 of the Eastern
Conference Finals will see the Rangers host Tampa Bay
on Saturday.  Game 1 of the Western
Conference finals is on Sunday when Anaheim
hosts Chicago.

 

The Ripon baseball team took
down defending D3 National Champion UW-Whitewater 15-7 at the NCAA Division III
Regionals at LaCrosse on Monday.   The
Red Hawks play Coe
College
today.
