Kansas
City
and Toronto punched their tickets to the American
League Championship Series with Game 5 victories on Wednesday.  The Royals took down the Houston Astros 7-2
while Toronto won a wild game over Texas 6-3. Jose
Bautista’s three run homer in the 7th was the difference.  Game one of the ALCS is Friday night in Kansas City.

 

Game 5 of the National League
Division Series between the Dodgers and Mets is tonight in Los Angeles
The winner gets the Cubs in the National League Championship Series.

 

Nick Perry and BJ Raji sat
out practice on Wednesday as Green Bay gets
ready for San Diego
on Sunday.  Every other player practiced
in some capacity.  Raji is battling a
groin injury.  Perry has a shoulder.  Raji says he plans on playing while Perry’s
status is more uncertain.  Sunday’s
kickoff at Lambeau Field is set for 3:25pm. Coverage starts at 1pm on KFIZ. 

 

Week 6 of the NFL season
kicks off tonight as New Orleans hosts Atlanta.  Coverage begins at 7pm on KFIZ.

 

The Badgers host Purdue on
Saturday at Camp Randall for Homecoming.  The kickoff is set for 11am with coverage set

Hayes have been named the Preseason All-Big Ten Men’s Basketball Team.

 

Brewers General Manager David
Stearns has named Matt Arnold as the teams assistant GM.  Arnold has
been the director of player personnel in Tampa Bay.  The Rays went to the post season 4 times
while the 36-year-old was with the franchise.

 

The WCTC has announced their
all-conference girls tennis team and St.
Mary’s Springs has a couple of girls recognized.  Abby Michels makes the 2nd team
while Carissa Tank earned Honorable Mention honors.

Annie Hierl are in Madison
today for the WIAA State Girls Tennis Tournament.  Hierl and Bahr bring a 21-7 record into their
match with 9th seeded Mary Zakowski and Claire Rotherman of Green
Bay Notre Dame.  The match is set for 1pm
this afternoon.
