Brewers starter Zach Davies
threw six scoreless innings to pick up the win in a 4-1 Brewers victory over
the Cubs on Wednesday night.  Davis gave up just 2 hits
and struck out 4 during his outing. 
Martin Maldonado drove in a pair for Milwaukee.  The win snaps a 9 game losing streak for The
Crew.  The Brewers open up a four game
weekend series in St. Louis
tonight. Taylor Jungmann gets the start against Michael Wacha.  Coverage begins at 5:40pm on KFIZ.  The Brewers will go with a six man all-rookie
starting rotation the rest of the season as Willy Peralta has been shut down
for the rest of the season.

The only real serious playoff
race left in Major League Baseball is the American League Wild Card race where
the Astros lead the Twins by 1 game.  The
Cubs have a 9.5 game lead over the Giants in the N.L. Wild Card race.  No division leader in either league is less
than 3 games.

 

The Badgers will host Hawaii under the lights
on Saturday night at Camp Randall Stadium.

The 2-0 Packers continue to
get ready to host the 1-1 Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football.  Packers coach Mike McCarthy says that running
back Eddie Lacy has been rehabbing his injured ankle but won’t know exactly
where he’s at in his recovery until they practice today.  Our coverage on Monday gets going at 5pm with
the kickoff set for 7:30pm.

going tonight as the Giants host the Redskins.

on Wednesday night.
