Track & Field:

The Fond du Lac Boys and Girls track teams each win the WIAA Division 1 regional meet at Oshkosh North. The boys score a 192, with the girls scoring a 159.

Fondy Boys results: Noah Tagliapietra takes first in the 800 meter, 1,600 meter and 3,200 meter. Andrew Stone first in the Shot Put and Discus, Adam Hopper first in the 110 meter hurdles, Trey Halfmann first in the 200 meter dash and Fondy’s 4X200, 4X400 & 4X800 meter relay teams all first place finishers.

Fondy Girls results: Jayden Sawyer takes first in the discus, Katie Retzlaff first in the 100 hurdles, Amber Wells first in the 300 hurdles, Ally Gietzel first in the long jump.

WIAA Division 2 Regional at Berlin HS:

Boys: Berlin takes first with 180 points, Kewaskum second with 120. Ripon 3rd (102), Waupun 4th (66), North Fond du Lac 5th (65), Winnebago Lutheran 6th (55.5), Laconia 7th (47), Lomira 8th (34), Mayville 9th (28.5), Campbellsport 8th (3).

Girls: Berlin takes first with 162 points, Mayville 2nd with 105. Waupun 3rd (83), Winnebago Lutheran 4th (71), North Fond du Lac 5th (54), Laconia & Kewaskum tie for 6th (53.5), Ripon 8th (51), Lomira 9th (44), Campbellsport 10th (21).

First Place Finishers (Boys): North Fond du Lac’s Nathan Schallert takes first in the shot put. Lomira’s David Flynn wins the triple jump.

First place finishers (Girls): WLA’s Sarah Niehueser takes first place in the 1,600 meter & 3,200 meter. Mackenzie Boehlke takes first in the Shot Put. North Fond du Lac’s Frannie Sokolik wins the long jump, 100 meter, and the triple jump. Laconia’s Taylor Vandeberg wins the High Jump, Allison Grahl takes first in the 400 meter.

–Steph Curry scored 36 points, Kevin Durant added 29 as the Warriors completed the sweep of San Antonio in the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors advance to the NBA Finals for the third straight year, to face either Boston or Cleveland.
