Bucks guard Malcom Brogdon was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year and selected to the league’s All-Rookie First Team Monday. Brogdon joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only players in team history to win Rookie of the Year honors. Brogdon is the first player not drafted in the first round to win Rookie of the Year since 1966.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokoumpo was named the NBA’s Most Improved Player and named to the NBA’s All-Defensive Team on Monday. Giannis is the first player in Bucks history to be named Most Improved Player.

Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook was named league MVP after setting a record with 43 triple-doubles last season. Draymond Green of Golden State was the Defensive Player of the Year, while Houston’s Mike D’Antoni was named Coach of the Year.

NFL: Former Packers running back Ahman Green was charged with felony child abuse after his 15-year-old daughter told police he punched her in the face. The 40 year old Green is also charged with disorderly conduct in the incident late Sunday in the Green Bay suburb of Ledgeview. According to a criminal complaint, Green’s daughter told police that he struck her in the face in a dispute over getting her to do the dishes
