Boys Soccer:

North Fond du Lac United 1, Ripon 1

The Hierl Insurance High School Team of the Week is the Laconia Spartans football team. Since starting the year 0-2, Laconia has won four in a row including Friday night’s 26-20 double overtime win over Winnebago Lutheran. Collin Weisnicht ran for 50 yards and two touchdowns in the win, including the winning score in the second overtime. The Spartans head into a showdown with unbeaten St. Mary’s Springs on Saturday afternoon, which is a battle for first place in the Flyway Conference.

Major League Baseball:

National League:

The Brewers return to action tonight after their off-day Monday. Milwaukee will open a three-game series with Cincinnati at Miller Park for their final home series of the season. Zach Davies will get the start for the Brewers tonight, with the Reds sending Deck McGuire to the mound. Coverage begins at 6:05, first pitch at 6:40 on KFIZ.

Chicago Cubs 10, St. Louis 2

–The Cubs magic number to clinch the NL Central is “1”. They can clinch with a win tonight.

Miami 5, Colorado 4

–Brewers are 1 & ½ games back of Colorado for the second Wild Card spot.

NFL:

The Packers have placed long snapper Brett Goode on injured reserve and signed Taybor Pepper to take his spot on the roster. Pepper is a rookie out of Michigan State who spent part of this past offseason with Green Bay and part of training camp with Baltimore. Goode has been dealing with a hamstring injury

Monday Night Football:

Dallas 28, Arizona 17

–Dak Prescott threw for 183 yards and two touchdowns as Dallas improved to 2-1 with the win over the Cardinals on Monday Night Football.
