The Cardinals hammered the
Brewers 10-1 on Monday afternoon in the home opener in St. Louis. Taylor Jungmann gave up 8 runs and
8 hits in just two innings of work. 
Michael Wacha pitched six scoreless innings to pick up the win.  Chris Carter hit a solo homer in the 7th
for the Brewers only run.  The Crew takes
today off and then resumes their series in St. Louis on Wednesday.

Greg Monroe scored 23 points
but the Bucks still lost to Orlando
107-98 on Monday night.  Milwaukee is 33-48 on the season.  They wrap up their season on Wednesday night
when they host Indiana.

 

Lakeland swept a doubleheader from the Marian baseball team on
Monday in Howards Grove.  The Muskies won
the opener 6-5 and then an 8 run 7th inning pushed them to a 14-6
win in the night cap. The Sabres hosts Benedictine today, starting at 3pm.  Marian will also be home on Wednesday against
Rockford.

We’ve got high school
softball tonight on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ as Laconia plays host to Lomira.   Laconia
is the defending Division Three State Champs, while Lomira also qualified for the
state tournament last season.  Coverage
begins at 4:30pm with the first pitch set for 5pm in Rosendale.

The St. Mary’s Springs boys
golf team won the Flyway Mini-Meet at Rock River
on Monday with a team score of 160. 
Winnebago Lutheran was 2nd with a 189.  The Ledgers Patrick Treichel was the meet
medalist with a 39.

Campbellsport 6th at the ECC Golf Meet at Lake Breeze
