Brewers Win Opener
The Brewers needed extra innings but were able to beat the Colorado Rockies 5-4 in 10 innings on opening day at Miller Park. Jonathan Lucroy’s sac fly with the bases loaded plated the winning run for the Brewers. Aramis Ramirez’s two-run double in the 8th capped a three run inning giving Milwaukee the 4-3 lead, but John Axford gave up a solo homer to Dexter Fowler with two out in the 9th to tie the game. Jim Henderson picked up the win for Milwaukee. Nori Aoki also homered in the win, while starter Yovani Gallardo wasn’t sharp, giving up 10 hits and 3 runs in 5 innings of work. The series continues tonight as Marco Estrada takes on Jorge De La Rosa. Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

Larry Sanders scored 24 points and pulled down 13 rebounds as the Bucks topped Charlotte 131-102. Monta Ellis chipped in 19 points and a career high 13 assists. The win pulls the Bucks within 1.5 games of the 7th playoff spot in the East.
The NIT Semifinal are tonight at Madison Square Garden in New York as BYU takes on Baylor and Iowa squares off with Maryland.
Louisville’s Ware OK
Louisville basketball player Kevin Ware told ESPN from his hospital bed in Dallas that he is OK after horrifically breaking his leg in Sunday’s win over Duke. He hopes to be released from the hospital today and return to his hometown of Atlanta where the Final Four is being held. If doctors clear him, he would like to attend the games on Saturday.
