Brewers Snap Skid

The Brewers ended a five game losing streak with a 7-4 win at Wrigley Field on Monday afternoon in the Cubs home opener.  Ryan Braun, Nori Aoki, and Martin Maldonado each had three hits in the win. Marco Estrada struck out six, gave up 2 runs and six hits in 7 innings to notch the win.  Jim Henderson had to throw 30 pitches but got the save as the Cubs scored twice in the 9th and had the winning run at the plate.  The series continues tonight as Wily Peralta takes on Travis Wood.  Coverage begins at 6:30pm on KFIZ.

Brewers Moves

The Brewers have placed pitcher Chris Narveson on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained finger.  They have called up 1B/catcher Blake Lalli from Triple-A Nashville.  To make room for Lalli on the 40-man roster they have placed Corey Hart on the 60-day DL.  The earliest he can now return to the Brewers is May 30th.

Final Four

The Louisville Cardinals won the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship with a 82-76 win over Michigan last night in Atlanta.  The Cardinals trailed by a dozen in the first half but rallied for the win and give Rick Pitino his 2nd National Championship.  He won with Kentucky in 1996.  Luke Hancock was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four after scoring 22 on Monday and 20 in the semifinals.

Women’s Final Tonight

The NCAA Women’s Final is set for tonight as Louisville takes on UConn.

Bucks vs. Heat

The Bucks are in Florida for what will likely be a first round NBA Playoff Preview.  The Heat are locked into the #1 seed, but the Bucks have clinched a playoff spot and would like to avoid the 8 seed and a first round matchup with the Heat.  Boston leads Milwaukee by 2.5 games for the 7th spot with six games to play.
