The Miami Marlins
took game one of their series with the Brewers at
Miller Park last night 6-2. 
Matt Garza gave up 5 runs and 8 hits in five innings to take the
loss.  The series continues tonight as
Tyler Cravy gets the start for Milwaukee.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

Former Brewers manager Ron
Roenicke has been hired as the 3rd base coach for the Los Angeles
Dodgers.  Roenicke was fired as the
Brewers manager earlier this season.

 

The Bucks have signed former
Wisconsin Badger Marcus Landry to a free agent contract.  The Milwaukee Vincent grad has bumped around
various professional league’s across the globe since leaving the Badgers in
2009.   The 29-year-old forward averaged
10 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in Spain last season. 

 

The Packers take today off
from Training Camp practice in Green
Bay
.  They will
go at it again on Wednesday with a 12:15pm workout.  Green Bay will
travel to Pittsburgh
on Sunday for their 2nd preseason game.  That game kicks off at Noon.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

The high school football
season opens up this week and we’ve got a pair of games on KFIZ.  On Thursday night a pair of Division Six
powerhouses square off as St. Mary’s Springs travels to Shiocton.  On Friday night, Fond du Lac opens up their season at Appleton
East.
