The Green Bay Packers cancelled practice on Monday but it was still a busy day at 1265 Lombardi Avenue.  Mike McCarthy cancelled workouts and took the team on a team building activity but the big news of the day was comings and goings.   Left tackle Bryan Bulaga torn his ACL in Saturday night’s Family Night Scrimmage and will be lost for the season.  The Packers  have options at left tackle including moving Marshall Newhouse back from the right side or going with rookie fourth round pick Davie Bakhtiari who has been impressive so far in camp.  The Packers also signed veteran quarterback Vince Young to a one year deal.  Young was the #3 overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by Tennessee.  The 30-year-old last played for the Eagles in 2011.

Brewers Fall

The Giants doubled up the Brewers 4-2 on Monday night out west.  Juan Francisco homered and drove in both Brewers runs in the loss.  John Axford got hung with the loss, giving up 3 runs in the 8th inning to bust up a 1-1 tie.  The loss spoils a solid outing form Tyler Thornburg who gave up just one unearned run and gave up seven hits in six innings of work.  The series continues tonight as Wily Peralta takes on Matt Cain.  Coverage begins at 8:40pm on KFIZ.
