The University of Maryland
has suspended freshman big man Diamond Stone one game for slamming the head of
the Badgers Vito Brown into the floor late in the 1st half on
Saturday night.

Villanova, Kansas and Oklahoma hold the top
three spots in both college basketball polls this week.  The Badgers still haven’t cracked the top 25
despite a 7 game win streak.  The Badgers
travel to Michigan
State
on Thursday night.

ending series against Aurora.

Fond
du Lac
High School senior Will Wright has won the Burlsworth
Character Award’ for the Fond du Lac
Football Team.  Brandon Burlsworth is
considered the greatest walk-on in NCAA football history.  He was drafted in the 1st round in 1999 by
the Colts and died shortly after in a car accident.  This summer, the movie “Greater” is
coming out in theaters chronicling the life of Brandon Burlsworth.  At the end of the movie, Will’s name will be
listed in the credits. Will was nominated in October and we found out last week
that he was selected as a recipient.
