The
Brewers dropped their series opener in San
Francisco
4-2 last night.   The Giants scored 3 in the 4th off
of Kyle Lohse that included a 2 run homer by Brandon Crawford.  Lohse’s record drops to 5-12 on the
season.  Jonathan Lucroy and Khris Davis
each drove in runs for Milwaukee
in the 6th.  The series
continues tonight as Wily Peralta takes on Matt Cain. Coverage begins at 8:40pm

The
Colorado Rockies have traded veteran shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and reliever
LaTroy Hawkins to Toronto
in exchange for shortstop Jose Reyes and three pitching prospects.

 

The
Packers training camp opens in Thursday and today is move in day for the
team.  The Packers will be moving into
their dorms at St. Norbert College
today, have physical testing on Wednesday and then hit the Ray Nitschke
Practice Field for their 1st workout at 8:20am Thursday morning.

 

The
Packers annual shareholders meeting is set for this morning at Lambeau
Field.  Between 13000 and 14000 people
are expected to attend.

 

The
Packers preseason game in Pittsburgh
on August 23rd has been moved to a 12noon kickoff.  ESPN moved the game so they could televise
the Pirates game at night.

 

The
Badger basketball team has added and international player to their 2015
recruiting class.  6’11 forward Andy Van Vliet
will be coming to the team from Belgium.  He averaged 6 points and 5 rebounds during
the 2015 European Championshps.

 

It
was announced over the weekend that Wisconsin’s
top football recruit Jordan Stephenson was not admitted to the University of Wisconsin.  Reports say the running back has narrowed his
choice of colleges to Nebraska and Alabama.
