The Brewers bats
went silent last night in a 3-0 loss to the Washington Nationals at Miller ParkMilwaukee
hitters mustered just three hits on the night against starter Gio Gonzalez and
the bullpen.  The Nationals weren’t much
better.  Their only runs of the game came
off the bat of Adam La Roche as he belted a 3 run homer off of Matt Garza in
the 3rd.  The series continues
tonight as Yovani Gallardo takes on Wisconsin
native Jordan Zimmermann.  Coverage

Brewers fans
have made a huge push to get their players into next month’s All-Star
Game.  Aramis Ramirez has moved into the
top spot for vote getters at 3rd base in the NL.  Carlos Gomez has surged to 3rd in
the voting which would also put him in the starting lineup.  Ryan Braun is 5th in the voting of
outfielders.  Jonathon Lucroy moved up to
2nd at catcher while 1B Mark Reynolds emerged in the #4 spot in the
voting.  Rickie Weeks is also 4th
at 2B.  Jean Segura is also 2nd
at shortstop.

The Portugal vs. United States World Cup game on
Sunday night was the most watched soccer match in U.S. history as 24.7 million people
tuned in on ESPN and Univision.  They say
another 490,000 watched the game online.

Honorable Mention All-State For Academics for this past season by the Wisconsin
Golf Coaches Association.

Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association. 
Ripon senior infielder Alex Goyette was named Honorable Mention
All-State
