The Brewers stole six bases and Pittsburgh committed 3 errors in a 5-1 Milwaukee win on Monday night. Nori Aoki had three hits and drove in 3 to help make a winner out of Marco Estrada who went seven innings, giving up 1 run and striking out 5. The series continues tonight as Kyle Lohse takes on Jeff Locke.  Coverage begins at 5:35pm with the first pitch at 6:10pm on KFIZ.

Bucks Search

The Bucks have interviewed four candidates for their vacant head coaching position.  Yesterday they reportedly interviewed Lakers assistant coach Steve Clifford. The team already talked for Nate McMillian, Kelvin Sampson and JB Bickerstaff.  USA Today says the team has some interest in 71-year-old former Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan.

 

Badgers Open In South Dakota

The University of Wisconsin men’s basketball team will open up the 2013-14 season at a tournament in Sioux Falls, South Dakota against St. Johns on November 8th.

EWC Golf @ Fox Hills

Sheboygan Falls was first, Campbellsport 3rd, New Holstein 6th, and Waupun 8th at the EWC Mini-Meet at Fox Hills on Monday.  Campbellsport’s Caleb Galligan shot a 40 to finish in a 3-way tie for first place.

 

Flyway Track

Kettle Moraine Lutheran won the boys Flyway Conference Track and Field Championship Meet at Omro while St. Mary’s Springs won the girls event.  Laconia finished 2nd on the boys side, followed by Omro, WLA, Mayville, Lomira, St. Lawrence, and North Fond du Lac.  Mayville was 2nd on the girls side, followed by KML, Laconia, Omro, Lomira, WLA and North Fond du Lac.

 

FVA Track

The Fond du Lac boys track team finished 3rd at the FVA Conference Meet tonight.  Top 3 teams were Kimberly 175.5, Appleton North 172 and Fond du Lac 88.   Neenah won the girls meet with Fond du Lac finishing 6th.
