Brewers Lose Again

Matt Kemp and Andre Ethier each hit solo home runs off of Yovani Gallardo as the Dodgers beat the Brewers 3-1 in their series opener at Miller Park on Monday night.  Clayton Kershaw gave up just 1 run and 3 hits and struck out 5 to pick up the complete game win for the Dodgers.   The series continues tonight as Hiram Burgos takes on Zack Greinke.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

Spurs Host Memphis

The San Antonio Spurs host Memphis tonight in Game Two of the NBA’s Western Conference Finals.  San Antonio took Game 1 of the series on Sunday.  Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals is Wednesday night when Miami hosts Indiana. 

 

NFL Draft Moving

The National Football League is ready to move the NFL Draft to mid-May.  The move would further stretch the NFL season to a 12 month affair.  May is currently a month where not much is going on with the league and this move would stretch activity to 12 months of the year and keep the league in the spotlight. 

 

Packer OTAs

The Packers have started Organized Team Activities at their practice facility across from Lambeau Field.  Today’s workout is set for 11:30am.  If weather permits it will be outside and open to the public. The team will have scattered workouts until their mandatory mini-camp which begins on June 4th.

WLA Girls Eye Flyway Crown

The Winnebago Lutheran Academy girls soccer team travels to JJ Keller Field in Oshkosh tonight to face Lourdes Academy.  A win by the Vikings will give them their 3rd straight conference title.   WLA is 7-0 in the league this year and they have won 27 straight league games.  Oshkosh Lourdes is 7-1 in Flyway play.

Fondy Boys Win Regional Track Crown

The Fond du Lac boys track team won their first regional championship since 1997 on Monday in Beaver Dam.  The Cardinals compiled 184 points to 2nd place Hartford’s 121.  West Bend West was third with 117 points.

Springs Boys & Girls Take Princeton Regional

St. Mary’s Springs boys and girls both won regional track championships at Princeton on Monday.  Darren Ward won the 110 and 300 hurdles and also the triple jump to lead the Ledger boys.  Ryan Grandlic took the 200 and 400.  For the girls Melanie Schneider and Liz Bohn won multiple events for St. Mary’s Springs.  Bohn won the 400 and 800 while Schneider placed first in the triple jump and 200.
