Badgers QB Up For Grabs

With redshirt freshman Joel Stave out for the season with a broken collar bone, Badger head football coach Brett Bielema will open up competition between Danny O’Brien and Curt Phillips.  O’Brien has struggled most of the season when he’s been under center.  Phillips, a highly touted high school recruit has never really gotten on the field because of multiple knee injuries.  Bucky has this weekend off before traveling to Indiana on November 10th.

 

Packers RB

Packers coach Mike McCarthy says that the Packers running game needs to get better.  The coach said that 2nd year man Alex Green struggled in Sunday’s win over Jacksonville and James Starks may see more opportunities on Sunday against Arizona.  Rumors around the NFL say that Green Bay has shown some interest in trading for Rams RB Steven Jackson before Thursday’s trading deadline.

 

Monday Night Football

San Francisco’s Alex Smith completed 18 of 19 passes for 232 yards and 3 TDs as San Francisco hammered the Arizona Cardinals 24-3 on Monday Night Football.  Two of those TD passes went to Michael Crabtree and the other to Randy Moss. 

 

Braun & Ramirez Gold Glove Finalists

Brewers left fielder Ryan Braun and 3rd baseman Aramis Ramirez are both finalists at their positions for Gold Gloves.  The winners will be announced tonight.

 

Brewers Moves

The Brewers reinstated 1B Mat Gamel,  SS Alex Gonzalez, and LHP Chris Narveson from the 60 day Disabled List.  Gonzalez and pitchers Shaun Marcum and Francisco Rodriguez all declared that they will become free agents.

 

NBA Tips Off

The NBA begins their 2012-2013 season tonight with three games on the schedule.  Washington @ Cleveland, Boston visits Miami and the Dallas Mavericks travel to the LA Lakers.  The Bucks season starts on Friday night at Boston.  You’ll hear that game on KFIZ.
