Brewers manager Ron Roenicke
may have to wait a week to find out his fate. 
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports owner Mark Attanasio will meet
with GM Doug Melvin next week to discuss the staff.  Attanasio already said Melvin will be back in
2015.

 

The Minnesota Twins have
fired Ron Gardenhire after 13 seasons on the job.  He led them to the playoffs six times but has
lost 90 or more games the past four seasons. 

 

The Major League Baseball
playoffs begin today as Kansas City hosts Oakland in the American
League Wild Card Game.   The N.L. Wild
Card Game is on Wednesday as Pittsburgh hosts San Francisco.

It’s a short week for the
Green Bay Packers as they get ready for the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night
Football.  The kickoff is set for 7:30pm
at Lambeau. Coverage begins at 5pm on Thursday night.

 

The Vikings say that x-rays
were negative on quarterback Teddy Bridgewater’s ankle and his status is still
up in the air for Thursday.  The rookie
was hurt in Sunday’s win over Atlanta.

 

The Big Ten has set the
kickoff time for the Badgers game with Illinois
at Camp Randall on October 25th at
11am.

 

The Milwaukee Bucks had
their annual media day on Monday as training camp officially opens.  New coach Jason Kidd will sport a roster that
features three 19 year olds and numerous others under 25.  The first preseason game is October 8th
and you’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

The Fond du Lac Cardinal
football team dropped three spots to #9 in this week’s Associated Press Large
School High School Football Poll after losing to Oshkosh North last Friday
night.  North was ranked #10 this week.
Kimberly is still #1.  St.
Mary’s Springs is still #1 in the Small Schools Poll.  Fondy travels to Oshkosh West on Friday
night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.  St. Mary’s
