Fond du Lac defeats Oshkosh West 154-176 in an FVA dual meet. Elliott Nielsen earns medalist honors with a 36.

St. Mary’s Springs placed 6th at the Homestead High School Invitational at North Shore Country Club. Individually, Colin Ahern finished in a tie for 7th with a three-over 75.

Flyway Conference Meet:

St. Mary’s Springs boys place 2nd at the Flyway Conference Meet at Lomira with 133 points. Omro takes first with 167.2. Winnebago Lutheran 3rd, North Fond du Lac 4th, Laconia 5th, St. Lawrence Seminary 6th, Lomira 7th, Mayville 8th.

St. Mary’s Springs girls win the Flyway Conference Meet at Lomira with 161.5 points. Mayville 2nd, Winnebago Lutheran 3rd, North Fond du Lac 4th, Laconia 5th, Omro 6th, Lomira 7th.

Springs boys 1st place finishers: Blake Lamb (100 meter), 4X200 relay, 4X100 relay & Michael Buetow (Shot put).

Springs girls 1st place finishers: Anja Smith (100 meter hurdles & high jump), 4X200 relay, 4X100 relay, Emily Mueller (Discus).

Winnebago Lutheran girls first place finishers: Sara Niehueser (800 meter & 1,600 meter) and MacKenzie Boehlke (shot put).

–Eric Sogard had a career-high four hits and drove in a run, and starting pitcher Jimmy Nelson had an RBI single in the 6th as the Brewers defeated the Padres in San Diego Tuesday night. Nelson improved to 2-2 on the year after going six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and striking out eight. Game three is tonight, coverage starts at 8:35 pm on KFIZ.
