Men’s College Golf:

Marian shot a 602 to place third at the Aurora Double Gun invite. The Sabres shot a 302 in the first round and followed that with a 300 in round two, which is the fifth lowest team round in school history. Christian Taylor finished tied for sixth individually to lead Marian.

Cincinnati 9, Milwaukee 3

–A five-run seventh inning, capped by a three-run home run from Scooter Gennett helped the Reds seal a win in game two of their series with the Brewers on Tuesday night. Stephen Vogt doubled in a run and Travis Shaw hit a two-run homer in the eighth for Milwaukee’s scoring on the night. Zach Davies took the loss, allowing two runs on six hits in 5 & ⅔ innings. The Brewers remain three and a half games back of the Cubs in the NL Central and are now two and a half back of Colorado for the second wild card spot. The final game of the series is today, Matt Garza goes for Milwaukee while Cincinnati sends Luis Castillo to the mound. Coverage begins at 11am, first pitch at 11:35 on KFIZ.

NFL: The Packers have signed defensive tackle Quinton Dial. Dial was a fifth round draft pick by San Francisco in 2013 out of Alabama, who has career totals of 175 tackles and four and a half sacks in 46 games with the 49ers. To make room for Dial on the 53-man roster, the Packers released defensive tackle Christian Ringo.

College Football:

Wisconsin held steady in the Associated Press Top 25 and fell a spot in the USA Today Coaches Poll after their 59-10 win over Utah State last Friday. Wisconsin stayed at number nine in the AP Poll while dropping to number 11 in the coaches poll. In the AP Poll, Alabama and Ohio State remained in the top two positions, with Clemson moving up to number three, Penn State up two to number four and Oklahoma up two to number five. The second five includes USC at number six, Washington at seven, Michigan at eight, the Badgers at nine and Florida State at 10.
