The Packers and
quarterback Matt Flynn have agreed to a contract.  Flynn rallied the Packers from a 16 point
deficit against the Vikings and then went 2-2 as a starter while Aaron Rodgers
recovered from a broken collar bone last season.  Flynn’s deal comes just as he was set to
visit the New York Giants.  Flynn and
Scott Tolzien are expected to battle to back-up Rodgers this upcoming season.

Brett Favre’s
return to Green Bay
may be coming sooner than some had though.
ESPN’s Rob Demovsky reports that the Packers actually wanted to bring
back Favre last season for a game.
Packers CEO Mark Murphy said that they couldn’t get a date to work last
season because the 3-time MVP was coaching at Oak
Grove High
in Mississippi
and the team ended up winning the 6A state championship.

It’s a big day today for
high school athletics in the state of Wisconsin
as member schools will vote on whether a multiplier should be used to determine
where private schools are placed for postseason play.  The proposed amendment would multiple a
private school’s enrollment by 1.65 and use that number as enrollment to place
them into playoff divisions. If it passes most privates would be bumped up a
division for the playoffs and some schools in football would move up two
divisions.  Members will also vote on
whether to take the formations of conferences away from the WIAA and into the
hands of the schools themselves.
