Braun’s Defending Name Again

Just a year after Ryan Braun successfully appealed a failed test for performance enhancing drugs, he’s finding himself defending his reputation again. Yahoo! Sports released a story last night that said Ryan Braun’s name was in the log of a Florida clinic linked to selling PEDs to other baseball including Alex Rodriguez.  The report said no PED’s were listed with Braun’s name.  Braun issued a statement last night that his lawyers used the clinic in research for fighting his failed test in 2011 and his name was on the list because there was a dispute on compensation for their consultation. 

 

Driver Retirement

Packers all-time leading receiver Donald Driver will officially announce the end to his 14 year NFL career this morning during a ceremony at Lambeau Field’s Atrium.  1000 tickets were distributed to fans last Friday for the event.  You can hear the ceremony this morning on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.   Coverage will begin around 11am.

 

National Signing Day

Today is the day that college football recruits put their name on the dotted line and officially commit to schools.  Head Coach Gary Andersen has been able to secure most recruits swayed to Madison by Bret Bielema’s staff.  Earlier this week the got a verbal commitment from Junior College QB Tanner McEvoy, who also had offers from teams including;  Oregon, Florida, and West Virginia.

 

Bucks Fall

The Bucks blew a 17 point 2nd quarter lead and lost to the Denver Nuggets 112-104 on Tuesday night.  Sam Dalembert led Milwaukee with 35 points.   The Bucks wrap up a quick two game roadie tonight in Utah.

 

Badgers Host Iowa

The Wisconsin Badgers try and avenge an earlier season loss tonight when they host Iowa at the Kohl Center.  Coverage begins at 7pm with the tip at 8pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.
