The Brewers bats
continue to me MIA as they collected just three hits in a 5-1 loss to the Rays
last night in Tampa.  Matt Garza got the Crew through seven
innings, giving up just 1 run and five hits.
Will Smith was charged with all 4 runs the Rays put up in the 8th
to get hung with the loss.  The series
wraps up this morning as Yovani Gallardo takes on David Price.  Coverage begins at 10:35am on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ.   With the loss the Brewers lead in
the NL Central is down to just 1 game over Pittsburgh,
1.5 games over St. Louis
and 5 games over the Reds.

With the trade
deadline swirling, a few big name pitchers are on the block.  The Red Sox have scratched Jon Lester from
his start today with a deal possibly on the horizon.  Pittsburgh and
St. Louis are
possible destinations.  The Brewers
opponent today, David Price is also on the block.

After taking
Tuesday off the Packers are back on the practice field this morning.    Green
Bay
will have workouts at 8:20am today, Thursday, and
Friday before Saturday’s Family Night Scrimmage.

The breakdown of
Jordy Nelson’s new four-year, $39 million dollar contract extension have been
released. The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports Nelson will be worth $14.75
million dollars in the first year of the extension and then about $7.25 million
each of the final 3 years. His signing bonus was $11.5 million dollars.
