The Packers have locked up kicker Mason Crosby to a four-year, $16 million dollar contract that keeps him in Green Bay through the 2019 season.   He is now the 2nd highest paid kicker in the NFL behind New England’s Stephen Gostkowski.


The Badger men’s basketball
team is on the road tonight as they travel to Minnesota
Coverage begins at 7pm with the tip set for 8pm.  UW wraps up their regular season on Sunday at
Purdue.

 

Luke Fischer hit a pair of
free throws with 1.2 seconds left to give Marquette
an 88-87 win over Georgetown on Tuesday night at
the BMO Harris Bradley
Center
.  The Germantown
native finished with a team high 23 points.

 

The Bucks host Indiana tonight at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
The tip is set for 7pm. 

 

The Brewers will play their 1st
Spring Training game this afternoon against UW-Milwaukee.  The Crew opens up Cactus League play on
Thursday as they split the squad against the Giants and Cubs.  We’ll have the Giants game on KFIZ with
coverage beginning at 1:55pm on KFIZ.

 

Marian University‘s Olivia Hartley has been named the Northern
Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player Student-Athlete of the Week  The Waterford native finished the four-game
Finlandia Dome Tournament with a .714 batting average, two home runs, six RBIs
and stole two bases.  The Sabres begins a
10 game trip to Florida
this weekend.

 

The Fond du Lac boys
basketball team rallied by Green Bay Preble 59-46 on Tuesday night in the WIAA
Division One Regional opener.  The
Cardinals trailed 27-22 at the break but outscored the Hornets 37-24 in the 2nd
half.  Junior Caleb Goldstein led the way
with 23 points.  Sam Fredrickson added 17
in the win. Fondy will head to #2 seed and 6th ranked Germantown on Friday night
in the Regional Semifinals.  You’ll hear
it on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Coverage
begins at 6:30pm with the tip set for 7pm.
