For the first time since 1996, UW-Green Bay
men’s basketball team is going to the NCAA Tournament.  The Phoenix
cruised by Wright State 78-69 in the Horizon League Championship Game in
Detroit on
Tuesday night.  Jordan Fouse led the way
with 16 points.

 

The University
of Wisconsin
held a press
conference on Tuesday to introduced Greg Gard as their new men’s basketball
coach.   The Big Ten Tournament gets
going today in Indianapolis as Minnesota faces Illinois and
Rutgers squares off with Nebraska
The Badgers play the winner of Rutgers-Nebraska on Thursday night.  You’ll
hear it on KFIZ.

  

The Big East men’s basketball Tournament gets
going today at Madison Square Garden
DePaul faces off with Georgetown in the opener.  Marquette will then tip with St. John’s about 8:30pm.

 

The Bucks host Miami tonight
at BMO Harris Bradley Center

The White Sox beat the Brewers 10-6 on Tuesday
in Cactus League action.  Chase Anderson
gave up 7 runs and 7 hits just 1 and a third innings of work . The Brewers play
the Royals this afternoon.

 

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson is
retiring from the NFL after 9 seasons. 
Johnson had over 11,000 receiving yards and seven 1,000 yard seasons in
the Motor City.

 

The Miami
Dolphins have signed defensive end Mario Williams to a two-year, $17 million
dollar deal. Williams was cut by Buffalo
after a five sack season in 2015.  Former
Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin is going to Oakland
The Giants are signing former Rams cornerback Janoris Jenkins.

 

Three Fond du Lac High School Co-op hockey team members
received All-State Honors.  Kendalynn
Acheson,  Rebecca Binder, Kylee Dyni all
were Honorable Mention All-State.
