Jimmy Nelson scattered 3 hits
and gave up just 1 run over 8 innings of work as the Brewers beat Detroit 8-1 on Tuesday
night.  Ryan Braun clubbed his 9th
homer of the season and drove in 4 while Adam Lind and Aramis Ramirez also went
deep. Carlos Gomez collected three hits on the night for Milwaukee. The Brewers look for the sweep
tonight as Kyle Lohse takes on Shane Greene.

took Game 1 of the NBA’s Western Conference Finals 110-106 over Houston on Tuesday
night.   James Harden had 34 to lead the
Rockets.  Game 2 is Thursday night in Oakland. The Hawks host
the Cavs tonight in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight in Atlanta.

 

The Minnesota Timberwolves
will have the #1 pick in this summer’s NBA Draft after winning the draft
lottery last night.  The Lakers will pick
2ndPhiladelphia gets the 3rd pick and
the NY Knicks slide to the #4 pick.  The
Bucks will have the 17th pick in the 1st round.

 

Marcus Kruger’s goal late in
the 3rd overtime gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 3-2 win over Anaheim in the NHL’s
Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night.  
The series is tied 1-1 heading back to Chicago for Game 3 on Thursday night.

 

Tampa Bay hosts the New York Rangers tonight in Game 3 of the
Eastern Conference Finals.  That series
is tied at 1-1.

 

The NFL made a major rules
change on Tuesday.  After experimenting
during last year’s preseason they have decided to move extra points back to the
15 yard line meaning kickers will have to boot a 32-yard field goal for the
extra point.  Two-point attempts will
remain at the 2-yard line.
