at Miller Park

For the 5th
straight year, LeBron James is heading to the NBA Finals as Cleveland
blew out Atlanta
118-88 to complete for 4 game sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals. James
scored 23 to pace Cleveland.
 The Cavs must now wait for the Western
Conference Finals to end.  That could be
tonight as Golden State hosts Houston
tonight holding a 3-1 series lead.

 

There will be a Game 7 in the
NHL’s Eastern Conference Finals as the New York Rangers picked up a 7-3 win
over Tampa Bay
last night in Florida.
.  The deciding game will be Friday night
in New York.   The Anaheim Ducks look to close out the
Chicago Blackhawks tonight in Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals at the United Center.  The Ducks lead that series 3-2.

 

The Fond du Lac softball team opens up Regional
action tonight at Oshkosh West.  Fondy is
the #11 seed and West is a #6.

 

The Lomira softball team
advanced in the WIAA Softball Regionals with a 6-2 win over Cedar Grove-Belgium
on Tuesday. The game was called in the sixth inning because of poor field
conditions.  Megan Andes gave up just 4
hits and struck out 12 for the Lions in the win.  The Lions will face Random Lake
today after the Rams beat WLA 3-2.   All
the other area softball games were washed out on Tuesday and will be played
today.

 

St. Mary’s Springs won their
Division 3 Boys Golf Regional at Rock River in
Waupun on Tuesday.  Brady Sarauer and
Patrick Treichel shared meet medalist honors with a pair of 77s.

 

The WLA boys golf team was 5th
at the Division 2 Regional at Rolling
Meadows
on Tuesday. 
The Vikings Chris Colla shot an 81 which was good for 2nd
place and he will go the Sectional as an individual.   Campbellsport advanced to the Sectional with
a 2nd place finish at their D2 Regional at Camelot on Tuesday.  Jack Adams and Tyler Schmidt each had 76s for
the Cougars.

 

The Fond du Lac boys golf team tied Oshkosh West
for 4th place at their Regional at Westhaven on Tuesday, but lost
the playoff and saw their season come to an end.  Elliot Nielsen and Marcus Ruch each had 81s
to lead Fondy.

 

The Fond du Lac boys tennis
team sent six of their seven flights to the WIAA Sectionals on Tuesday.  Players who advanced through the
Sub-Sectional are:

the Plymouth Regional on Tuesday.  The
Sectional is Friday at Beaver Dam. 
Waupun’s boys and girls won their Regional at Kewaskum on Tuesday.  St. Mary’s Springs girls were 1st
and the boys were 2nd at their D3 Regional at Markesan on
Tuesday.
