Yovani Gallardo’s pinch hit double in the 10th inning gave Milwaukee a 7-6 win over the Orioles at Miller Park on Tuesday night.  Milwaukee blew a 5-0 lead in the game and then tied the game at six in the 9th on a two-out infield single by Jonathan Lucroy.  In the 10th, the Orioles chose to walk Mark Reynolds with two outs in the 10th reach the pitchers spots in the order.  Gallardo blasted one off the wall in centerfield scoring Reynolds.  Gallardo will get the start tonight as the series continues.  Coverage begins at 6:35pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

NBA Playoffs

Russell Westbrook scored 40 points, dished off 10 assists and collected five steals as Oklahoma City evened the Western Conference Finals at 2-2 with a 105-92 win over the Spurs.  The Miami Heat take a 3-1 series lead into Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight at Indiana

 

NHL

The Montreal Canadians stayed alive in the Eastern Conference Finals with a 7-4 win over the New York Rangers on Tuesday. New York still leads the series 3-2. The Los Angeles Kings host Chicago in the Western Conference Finals tonight with a 3-1 series lead.

 

The Packers get back on the practice field today with  Organized Team Activities getting underway with the full squad in attendance. 

 

UW-Whiteweater won the NCAA Division III baseball national championship with a 7-0 win over Emory at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton on Tuesday.  The Warhawks became the first team in any NCAA Division to win the football, basketball, and baseball national titles in the same year.

The Fond du Lac boys tennis team finished 2nd at the sub-sectionals in Oshkosh on Tuesday.  Singles players advancing were Kenan Saleh, Felix Cloutier, and Matt Tentler.  The double team of Stuart Nett and Matt Riley also advanced to Thursday’s Sectional at Neenah.

 

Both Winnebago Lutheran and St. Mary’s Springs won their respective golf regionals at Rolling Meadows Golf Course on Tuesday.  WLA won the Division Two event with a team score of 328.  The Vikings Chris Colla was the meet medalist with a 72.  Teammate Eric Schroeder was 3rd with a 78.  North Fond du Lac also qualified for sectionals with a 4th place finish.  Ripon was 6th and Laconia was 10thSt. Mary’s Springs won the Division Three event with a 345 team score.  Brady Sarauer was the meet medalist with a 76.  His Ledger teammate Patrick Treichel was third with a 79.  Oakfield finished 6th in the event.

 

The Fond du Lac boys track team won their 2nd straight regional championship Tuesday in Beaver Dam.  First place finishers for the Cardinals include; Chris Hafemann in the high jump; Kyle Pierce in Long Jump, Mike Theis in Shot Put, and 4×100 Relay team of Kyle Pierce, Jacob Baus, Desmond Burns, and Troy Dehart.  Click here for complete results

 

The Fond du Lac girls track team advanced to Sectionals with a 2nd place finish at Beaver Dam’s Regional on Tuesday.  First place finishers for Fondy included; Marissa Wustrack in the Long Jump and Annie Moore in 1600.

St. Mary’s Springs won both the boys and girls D3 Track Regionals at Markesan on Tuesday.  For the boys Zach Hintze won the Long Jump and Triple Jump.  Sam Schrauth took the shot put.  Zach McLaughlin won the 110 Hurdles, and Sam Spranger won the 400.  For the girls, Melanie Schneider won the 200 and 400.  Lizzy Leichtle won the discus, and Megan McGovern won the 100 hurdles.  The Ledger girls 400, 800 and 3200 relay teams also won their events.
