Eric Hosmer’s sacrifice fly in the
bottom of the 14th plated Alcides Escobar and gave the Kansas City
Royals a 5-4 win over the New York Mets in Game 1 of the World Series last night.  The game was sent to extra innings with Alex
Gordon homered to tie it at 4 in the bottom of the 9th.  Alcides Escobar also had an inside the park
home run to lead off the bottom of the 1st inning for the
Royals.   The last player lead off the
World Series with an inside the park homer was Ol’Patsy Dougherty of the Boston
Americans in 1903.  The game was also
delayed for a bit in the 4th innings as FOX lost their television
feed.   Game 2 of the series is tonight
in KC.  Jacob DeGrom starts for the Mets
while Johnny Cueto starts for the Royals.
The 1st pitch is set for 7:07pm and will be on FOX.

tonight as they host the New York Knicks at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.   The team will be without Giannis

Last year’s #1 draft pick Jabari Parker won’t be ready to go until
sometime in November as he recovers from a torn ACL.  OJ Mayo will also miss the opener with a
hamstring injury. Tonight’s coverage begins at 6:40pm with the tip set for 7pm
on KFIZ.

The Packers get back on the practice
field today as they get ready for a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Broncos
