Squirrel Likely Cause of Short Power Outage

A short electrical power outage in the City of Fond du Lac on Tuesday appears to have been caused by a squirrel. Alliant Energy reports that a squirrel found its way into the Morris Street substation, knocking out power just after 6:00pm Tuesday evening. Power was restored around 8:00pm. Nearly 1,600 customers were impacted by that outage.
