St. Agnes President Has High Praise For Staff

The world has passed the one-year mark since the start of the pandemic, and despite a challenging year for those in health care, the work of the doctors and nurses on the front lines of the pandemic will not be forgotten.

Katherine Vergos, President of St. Agnes Hospital tells KFIZ News that the work done by doctors and nurses over the past year is nothing short of inspirational.

“Imagine caring for patients who are really, really sick and some of them passing away, and the grief that comes along with that and the stress that comes along with that and showing up every single day for our patients and for one another.”

Vergos says she’s amazed at the bravery, courage and resilience of the doctors and nurses at the hospital to face challenges of the pandemic head-on over the last year.
