State Releases District Report Cards

The latest school report cards show performance is up in Wisconsin schools and districts. The state Department of
Public Instruction released the numbers on Tuesday, measuring performance of 2,114
public schools, 281 private choice schools, and 422 school districts.

The
report cards are designed to be used by people living in the districts to hold
schools accountable for their performance each year.

Almost 84-percent of
schools met or passed expectations this year, which is up about 2-percent from
the last two years. 96-percent of school districts also met or exceeded their
expectations this year, which is up 4-percent from two years ago.
