State Senate Sets Kimberly-Clark Public Hearing for Wednesday

A public hearing is set for Wednesday – for lawmakers to
discuss a tax incentive package plan to keep Kimberly-Clark in the Fox Valley.
The Joint Committee on Finance will meet at 10:00am Wednesday morning.

Kimberly-Clark announced global restructuring plans that include the closure of
Neenah Nonwovens and a possible shutdown of the Cold Spring facility in Fox
Crossing. The company delayed a decision on the Cold Spring facility to give
the state time to pass a tax incentives package worth about $100 million.

It
remains unclear if the bill has enough support to pass in the state senate
after passing the Assembly during their last session.
