State Troopers From FDL Post Provide Support In Milwaukee

Thirteen State Troopers and Inspectors from the Fond du Lac Post went to Milwaukee Monday night in case they were needed for more unrest in the city. Captain Tony Burrell says one of their roles is in emergency support functions, which is why they were sent to Milwaukee. He says fortunately things were much calmer Monday night compared to over the weekend. He says everyone came back safe and there were very few incidents. Burrell says he worked in the command post just outside of Milwaukee and it was a pretty uneventful evening. Milwaukee Police say there were 10 arrests overnight Monday, but none of the damage and injuries that were seen over the weekend. Protests started Saturday night after police shot and killed an armed Milwaukee man after a traffic stop.
