Statewide Totals for Drug Drop Collection Released

General Brad Schimel announced Tuesday that a total of just under 64-thousand
pounds (63,941) of unused medications were collected during drug take back
events throughout the state of Wisconsin in the month of October. The total
makes it the largest fall drug take back collection to date. 266 police and
sheriffs’ departments hosted 130 Drug Take Back events on October 28th,
and have provided 349 permanent drug disposal drop boxes. The drug take back
event held in Fond du Lac at the Senior Center collected 60 pounds of unused
medications. Drug drop boxes are located in Fond du Lac County at St. Agnes
Hospital in Fond du Lac, Ripon Medical Center, Waupun Memorial Hospital and at
police departments across the county.
