Storm Cleanup Continues in Brownsville

The Village of Brownsville and the surrounding area
sustained significant wind damage as a result of Tuesday’s storms. Brownsville
Fire Chief Kelly Thomas says the high winds caused many trees to be blown over,
which took down power lines and caused property damage. Many homes and
businesses were still without power as of late Tuesday night and WE Energies
was working through the night to remove powerlines from downed trees and across
roadways. No injuries were reported because of the storms. Village Marshal Brad
Seymour is asking people to stay out of the area so clean up efforts can
continue without interruption. Brownsville
residents looking for assistance are encouraged to stop at the fire station
after 9 o’clock this morning for further direction on clean up.
