Storms Move Through FDL County

 A line of powerful thunderstorms packing strong winds and heavy rain moved through Fond du Lac County Friday night. No injuries were reported, but those at Lakeside Park for Walleye Weekend had to seek shelter. Winds blew down tree branches and tents at the festival in Fond du Lac. Police and Fire at the park were in  contact with the National Weather Service in Sullivan. Damage was also reported in the Mt. Calvary area, which had wind gusts of 50 miles an hour or more. In Sheboygan County lightening caused a barn fire in the Town of Lyndon at W5416 State Highway 28. A dozen fire departments battled that blaze. Alliant Energy reported more than 18,000 customers without power across southern Wisconsin.
