Straight Line Winds Caused Dodge County Damage

National Weather Service officials got a look at the damage a strong storm caused in Dodge County Town of Hustisford yesterday. The storm Sunday morning damaged cattle sheds, garages, and storage sheds. It even bent a flagpole and damaged a roof at the Town Hall. National Weather Service representatives determined the wind damage was consistent with straight line winds with wind bursts up to around 100 miles per hour. Washington County also saw extensive damage including the collapse of a silo onto a barn Westcott Road that killed 10 to 15 cows. Storms in the Midwest Sunday caused at least 8 deaths.
