Structure Fires in Town of Auburn & Village of St. Cloud

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies and several fire
departments responded to two different structure fires in the county Monday
afternoon. The first was reported in the Town of Auburn at 2:30 pm at N2496 Us
Highway 45. There, a pole shed being used as an office and for heavy equipment
storage by Valley Hydro Excavating, LLC, is considered a total loss. The only
employee in the building was able to escape without injuries. The cause of the
fire is being investigated by the Campbellsport Fire Department and the State Fire
Marshal.


Assisting at the scene were Fire Departments from Eden,
Kewaskum, the Town of Fond du Lac, Boltonville, Beechwood, Kohlsville, St.
Cloud, Brownsville, Lomira, Eldorado, Oakfield, the Town of Calumet, Mount
Calvary, Allenton, Theresa and Knowles, along with the Campbellsport Ambulance
and the Fond du Lac County Highway Department.


The second fire was reported just after 4pm in the Village
of St. Cloud, where Sheriff’s Deputies and the St. Cloud Fire Department were
called to a home at 237 Railroad Avenue for a garage fire. The fire is believed
to have been an electrical fire, and resulted in significant damage. The fire
was contained to the garage. Assisting at the scene were fire departments from
Mount Calvary, the Town of Calumet and the City of Fond du Lac, along with RIT
Team 3 and the County Highway Department.


No firefighters were injured while fighting either fire.
