Student Charged In School Stabbing Requests Venue Change

An Oshkosh teenager charged with stabbing a police officer, is requesting a jury outside Winnebago County to hear his case. 


Grant Fuhrman, 17, is charged with first degree intentional homicide for his role in the December 3rd, 2020 stabbing incident at Oshkosh West High School. Fuhrman allegedly stabbed Oshkosh Police Officer Michael Wissink, while he sat at his computer in his office at the high school. 


Wissink fired his revolver twice, injuring both Fuhrman and himself. Wissink spent several days in the hospital. The high school was evacuated, while nearby schools were placed on lockdown. Fuhrman was placed on $1 million cash bond.
