FDL Police Investigate Sunday Morning Stabbing

Fond du Lac Police are investigating an apparent early Sunday morning stabbing that resulted in one man heading to the ER for treatment of stab wounds.

FDL Assistant Chief Of Police Operations, Steve Klein, issued a press release Monday evening stating officers were called Sunday morning April 4, 2021 at about 4:59 a.m., to the ER at St. Agnes Hospital for a report that a 34-year-old Fond du Lac man had walked in with stab wounds.

According to the victim, he was walking alone in the area of Marquette St and Johnson St between 4:30 a.m. and 4:59 a.m. when he was approached from behind by a male subject who demanded items from him.  The victim stated he pulled away from the suspect and ran to a nearby residence where he discovered he had been stabbed.   The victim was treated at St. Agnes Hospital and has since been released.
