Saturday Produces Multiple Motorbike Accidents

Area Fire and Rescue crews were kept busy Saturday (7/09/2022) with reports of multiple motorcycle accidents.

Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue was called out to the intersection near Park Ave. and 4th St., for a reported car vs. motorcycle crash, which resulted in injuries. The area was shut down while crews worked to clear the scene, but there was no report as of Monday morning as to the extent of the injuries or how the crash occurred.

Brandon/Fairwater Fire and Lifestar EMS out of Waupun were called Saturday just before 1:30 p.m, to the intersection of Amity Rd. and Highway M, northeast of Waupun, for a report of car vs. motorcycle accident. Log reports show a 30-year old male was reportedly struck by a vehicle. The male victim suffered road rash and broken ribs. The WI State Patrol assistance was requested on the scene along with the FDL County Sheriff’s Department.

Eden Fire and a Campbellsport ambulance crew responded Saturday afternoon to Cty. Highway F, between Greenway Rd. and County V for a motorcycle vs. deer crash.

Ripon Fire and Ripon Ambulance then responded Saturday, just before 8:00 p.m. to an area on Hwy. E, south of Ripon, for a reported minibike crash. According to log reports, a 35-year old male was operating a mini bike when he crashed. He was not wearing a helmet at the time and did admit to drinking prior to the incident. The operator did sustain minor injuries as a result of the crash.
