Suspect Leads Deputies On 22-Mile Chase, Search Still On For Car/Driver

A vehicle chase Saturday evening (September 5th, 2020) covers 22 miles and ended with no arrest and Sheriff’s Deputies still looking for the suspect. The incident occurred at 5:29p.m., when a Deputy with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Rolling Meadows Dr. and Rogersville Rd, in Fond du Lac.

The vehicle was described as a late 90’s or early 2000’s Red Mitsubishi Galant, with the license plates on the vehicle not matching that vehicle. Despite the siren and lights, the suspect did not stop and increased speed, with the pursuit going north on Rolling Meadows Dr. and continuing west on STH 23, and then on a trail of town roads and county highways before coming into Lamartine. Tire deflation devices in Lamartine were unsuccessful, with the vehicle making its way south on CTH Y, through Oakfield, and then south on Mill Pond Rd. A Deputy attempted to deploy another tire deflation device near Mill Pond Rd and CTH F but was unsuccessful. The pursuit was called off as it entered Dodge County.
