Suspect Sought After Reckless Driving, Short Pursuit in FDL Tuesday Night

Law enforcement is looking for a suspect in a reckless driving incident that happened in the City of Fond du Lac Tuesday evening.

Reports say a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy tried to stop a Ford F350 pickup truck that was driving recklessly going east on Scott Street near Brooke Street just before 9:30 pm.

The driver failed to stop for the deputy and a short pursuit began in the area of Scott Street and north Military Road. The driver continued south on Military Road at a high rate of speed, losing control of the truck as he turned east onto Cotton Street. The driver abandoned the truck and ran from the scene – he was last seen running north from the scene.

No injuries and no property damage were reported in the one-half mile pursuit. Fond du Lac Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol helped the Sheriff’s Office look for the suspect after the pursuit.

Deputies are looking to confirm the suspect’s identity for criminal charges.
